First off I went in last Thursday because I was going to have a birthday celebration with my friends, but due to the rainy weather for Saturday I had to find an indoor area. I have driven by this place many times before but I’ve never gone in so I went in on Thursday night immediately was greeted by Kristen . The bartender, who is extremely sweet and I asked her what time they opened and if I could bring a party of up to 30 people in for my birthday, and she said it would be completely fine and she took my information down so that the owner could give me a call. I actually stayed ate some food and played bingo with a DJ that plays little excerpts of songs and then you fill out your bingo card and I have to say while I was there I was very calm and I felt like this is the place that has been missing in my life and it felt good to go there alone and just have a good time When you walk in, it’s just good vibes. You feel it. Below are from Saturday where I had my birthday celebration and the owner Bethany had called me beforehand to confirm and said she had two waitresses who would be helping all of us and they were amazing because they had to deal with people coming in and out at different times, so I can congratulate and apply them for all their hard work ! Everyone said they had an amazing time there and that they loved it. They loved the atmosphere. They enjoyed the food. They loved the drinks especially the mimosas lol. I’m so grateful that I was able to celebrate my birthday here and our next event we will be coming back to this place because we all had such a good time!! Thank you for letting all of my family. Be loud and share laughter on a special day.!! Highly recommend this place
I held my mid-year company party and awards ceremony here in July, and it was an incredible event made possible by Bethany and her team! My staff and their guests were blown away by the hospitality, cleanliness of the bar and of course the food and the drinks. They were overly communicative and accommodating in the planning stage and truly helped to make it a special night. Grateful for a local place that can do this with us, and we will be back. Thanks again!
Drag Queen Bingo on Sundays at 7pm. Proceeds to benefit local 501c3 charities and the fun benefits the community. It was an amazing evening. Great food, service and FUN!!
Best steak sandwich I've ever had. There are options for your peppers, from mild to OMG and OMG Hot.. Been here 4 times and only have had that, but other selections look good. Fries are very good too. Sports bar theme with TV's and nice outside deck. Servers are always cheerful and attentive. 8/30 update: still great, becoming a regular. Wait staff is awesome. Burgers are very good too! Mondays trivia night, Tuesdays half price steak sandwiches (the bomb) and killer steak fries for 2.
A huge shout out to Bethany and her staff for catering our New Years Eve party. The food was awesome as usual (we eat here quite a bit). The process was easy and Bethany communicates with you to make sure everything is how you want it. I didn't have to worry about anything. Thank you!! Charann's for the win!!!!
Charann's is a classic Tampa staple, famous for their cheesesteaks. My family has been coming here for many many years, and even though I live in Texas I make it a point to stop here every time I'm in town. I like the Hot Cheesesteak, and yes, it's actually spicy, definitely not for the faint of heart. The service is always good, I've never had to wait for someone to take my order, or refill my drink once I've ordered.
I haven’t eaten here in years because I moved out of town. Today I had the most delicious steak sandwich and delectable sweet potato fries. Brittney was my server/bartender and she absolutely made my day. I remember her from a long time ago when I was a regular at the original Charanns. She is sweet and kind always with a smile on her face. I was having a bad day and she made sure that I was laughing before long and forgetting about the turmoil in my real life. It was a pleasant escape from reality. I plan on making it a point to get to town More often just so I will be able to visit this fine establishment. We live in the metro Atlanta suburbs but if driving within 50 miles of Tampa, Charann’s Tavern is always on the list. Warning, after experiencing the ribeye steak thinly sliced perfectly cooked on the steamed hoagie you’ll be hooked. Truly amazing!
